Location with Ample Facilities

The College campus is located in rural setting at a distance of 45 Km by road from Jaipur. It is a constituent College of Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University, Jobner. The college is provided with Post Office, ICICI Bank, Canteen, Telephone exchange, Plant and Veterinary clinic, Indane Gas Agency, a Secondary School and 63 quarters for teaching staff and Guest House, PHC. The College campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. All the class rooms, girls’ hostel and college gates have been provided with CCTV camera for monitoring the classes and other college activities and for security of girls. EPABX (intercom) facilities have been provided in all the departments for all faculty members, dealing assistants all sections, farms and all University Directors and officers including VC secretariat.

Mission

The entire team of college has been making effort to excel in the field of agricultural education, research and extension activities. Efforts are going on to develop disease and draught resistant varieties of oil seeds and seed spices for arid and semi-arid conditions of Rajasthan. Research work on several new varieties of spices and arid horticulture are undergoing at this college. Development of rain water harvesting structures in the university and their jurisdiction area.

Vision

The college has set a goal to view itself as a vehicle of change to bring improvement in the lives of farmers and the sustained farm productivity. This will be achieved through quality education, need based research and dissemination of the technology developed. In order to achieve such a goal and to be an education institute of national and international importance, the college plans to bring in following improvements.

• Improvement of the teacher taught ratio for better teaching-learning interaction.

• Expansion of infrastructure, particularly classrooms, laboratories and library for better teaching learning environment.

• Establishment of dependable and efficient water resources.

• Establishment of national and international linkages for exposure of students and staff for better capacity building.

• Development of residential facilities international students.

• Create awareness for alternative land use and farm diversification to maximize farm productivity in the state.

• Encouragement of rain water harvesting structure formation in the university jurisdiction area to maximum utilization of rain water.

• To impart education in agriculture science and its branches.

• To undertake research work in agriculture and allied sciences.

Administrative

The administrative building is an impressive building which houses offices of the Dean, Assistant Registrar, Finance, Establishment and Student Sections, Chief hostel warden, DSW and Placement cell. There are 14 departments viz., Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture, Extension Education, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Biochemistry, Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science, Nematology, Livestock Production Management and Plant Physiology in separate buildings with sufficient class rooms and laboratories.
