Dr. M. R. Choudhary, a distinguished professor in the field of Horticulture, has ascended to the esteemed position of Dean & Faculty Chairman at prestigious Agriculture College of SKN Agriculture University, Jobner. He was born on 02th February, 1972 in Bhadwa (Jaipur). Dr. Choudhary's journey in academia is marked by remarkable achievements and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Graduating with distinction, he obtained his B.Sc. (Ag) in 1992, followed by his M.Sc. in 1994, both from Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner. His outstanding performance during his Master's studies earned him the prestigious gold medal, a testament to his academic prowess and dedication to his field.

Driven by a passion for Horticulture, Dr. Choudhary continued his academic pursuits, culminating in the completion of his Ph.D. in 2004, again from RAU, Bikaner. His doctoral research further solidified his expertise and laid the foundation for his subsequent contributions to the field.

Dr. Choudhary commenced his professional journey as an Assistant Agricultural Research Officer (AARO) in the Government of Rajasthan, serving at Bhusawar-Bharatpur from September 1995 to May 9th, 1996. Subsequently, he joined Rajasthan Agricultural University as an Assistant Professor on 10th May, 1996, dedicating four years of service (from May 10th, 1996 to July 2000) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kota.

In July 2000, Dr. Choudhary transitioned to SKN College of Agriculture, Jobner, where he served diligently as an assistant professor, associate professor, and as a professor till today. During his tenure, he imparted knowledge in courses pertaining to post-harvest technology and fruit production in B.Sc. (Ag.), M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture, and Ph.D. Horticulture degree programs.

Dr. Choudhary's scholarly contributions are substantial, with 2 books, 72 Research Papers, 9 Manuals, and numerous popular articles to his credit. He has also supervised the research of 25 M.Sc. and 6 Ph.D. students in the field of Horticulture. Engaging actively in research projects, he has contributed to 2 AICRPs projects as a horticulturist and led 2 state government projects as project Incharge. A dedicated member of 6 academic societies, Dr. Choudhary's commitment extends beyond academia. He served as an Associate NCC Officer for 2 years in the college NCC unit, showcasing his multifaceted involvement. Recognitions adorn Dr. Choudhary's illustrious career, including being the Gold Medalist (Topper) in M.Sc. (Ag.) Horticulture in 1994 and excelling in the Ph.D. coursework program in 2002.

He was awarded the "Certificate of Merit" by Commandant Brig. Puri during the "P O P Ceremony" for proficiency in administrative activities, as part of the "Direct Commission cum 1st Refresher Course" held at the National Officers Training Academy, Nagpur, from July 4th to September 17th, 2011. Additionally, he was conferred the rank of Lieutenant during the same "P O P Ceremony" held on September 16th, 2011.

Furthermore, he received the "Certificate of Excellence" for meritorious services, outstanding performance, and remarkable role, presented by the India International Friendship Society during a seminar on "Economic Growth & National Integration" in New Delhi on June 12th, 2014.

On the occasion of the 66th Republic Day (January 26, 2015), he was honored by the Honorable Vice-chancellor of SKNAU, Jobner.
