Motto of NCC “Unity & Discipline”

The NCC was established in this College in 1957. Currently one company having sanction strength of 107 cadets is working to give Army wing training. The NCC got its own building in 1965. The cadets of this campus got several honours and awards. Since 1988-89, the NCC Company of College has remained “Champion Company” and honoured by Chief Minister of Rajasthan in 1994 on NCC Raising Day Parade at Jaipur for excellent performance in Indo Canada Youth Exchange Programme, 1994. Two international level youth exchange programme ICYEP 1990 and 1994 was held at this campus. CUO Ritesh Kumar Singh honoured by Governor of Rajasthan and by D.G. NCC in 1995. D.G. NCC, Delhi visited two times during ICYEP Programme. Cadets and Associate NCC Officer Major S.S. Khangarot selected and attended R.D. Camp. 1990, BLC 1993, NIC, A.P., Gujarat, Kerala and Maj. Khangarot was awarded commendation medal 2002. Cadet Anurag Chadha awarded Gold Medal in 1994. CUO Supern Singh attended BLC, Delhi recently selected as Major in Indian Army. After superannuation of Maj. Khangarot, Lieutenant Dr. M. R. Choudhary took charge of NCC unit on 21st April 2011. Lieutenant Choudhary also completed 76 days Direct Commission Training Course of NCC & got “A grade” at Officers Training Academy, Kamptee (Nagpur) held from 4th July 2011 to 17th Sept. 2011 and honoured by the rank of Lieutenant. After Lieutenant Choudhary, Lieutenant Dr. B. L. Dudwal took charge of NCC unit on 7th August 2015 and he is also completed 90 days Pre- commission Training Course of NCC (PRCN/SD/162) from 3 July 2017 to 30 Sept. 2017 at Officers Training Academy, Kamptee (Nagpur) and honoured by the rank of ‘Lieutenant’. The NCC unit of college is contributing toward the goal in an effective and meaningful manner.

Aims of NCC:

  • To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the country.

  • To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.

  • To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.

Major Activities:

  •  B & C certificate courses: This type courses are organizing by Directorate of NCC, Govt of India in which 2nd year and 3rd year students are enrolled and after passing theory as well as practical examination gets B & C certificates, respectively.

  • NCC/NSS/PEYP course 2(0+2): This course is offering by university for 1st and 2nd year students and they have to pass it.

  • Cadets prepared for taking part in ceremonial prades on 15th August and 26th January.

  • Every year all cadets participates in annual training camps, army attachment camps and NIC camps as per vacancy allotment from Directorate of NCC.

  • All the NCC cadets of this college participate in ceremonial prades on 15th August and 26th January every year.

  • Cadets of this unit also participates in ‘Swachhta abhiyan, blood donation camps, International yoga day celebration programme and awareness rallies every year.

  • Online and offline classes are conducted on specialized/common topics as per schedule and directives of 1 Raj NCC Battalion:

Pledge: We the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be disciplined and responsible citizens of our nation. We shall undertake positive community service in the spirit of selflessness and concern for our fellow beings.

Core Values: The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. Its activity is guided by certain Core Values that we endeavour to instill among all ranks of the NCC. These include the following:

  • A sense of patriotic commitment to encourage cadets to contribute to national development.

  • Respect for diversities in religion, language, culture, ethnicity, life style and habitat to instill a sense of National unity and social cohesion.

  • Abiding commitment to learn and adhere to the norms and values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

  • Understanding the value of a just and impartial exercise of authority.

  • Ability to participate in community development and other social programme.

  • A healthy life style free of substance abuse and other unhealthy practices.

  • Sensitivity to the needs of poor and socially disadvantaged fellow citizens.

  • Inculcating habits of restraint and self-awareness.

  • Understanding the values of honesty, truthfulness, self-sacrifice, perseverance and hard work.

  • Respect for knowledge, wisdom and the power of ideas.

Cadet Commandments:

  • I will ensure construction of toilet in my house and motivate at least 10 persons for the same.

  • I will be an ‘Aadhar’ Indian and would motivate 10 more persons to be one.

  • I will donate blood at least once every year.

  • I will make only digital transactions wherever possible and motivate others for the same.

  • I will plant minimum two trees in a year and care for the same.

  • I will obtain my voter and PAN Card once I have crossed 18 years of age.

  • I will ensure garbage segregation in my house and within 100 m of my neighbourhood.

  • I will undertake 100 hours of shramdaan for social service.

  • I will help physically-challenged persons to live their dreams.

  • I will be a role model for gender sensitivity, secular outlook and spirit of nationalism without any regional bias.

  • I will rush to help any accident victim.

  • I will always uphold motto of NCC – ‘Unity and Discipline’. I will be equally disciplined when not under observation.
